Hey Girls! I am so excited that Pure Style is coming up soon! This one is going to be like no other! Lindsey Kane is coming up to perform a concert, there will be a fashion show with clothes from Carsons, and lots of other cool stuff! This event is for Middle School girls in grades 6, 7 & 8. It is $10.00 a ticket and well worth it! I am praying for God to bless this ministry with as many girls as possible to come out and hear the message of modesty & purity. Psalm 119:9 How can a young person stay pure? By living according to God's Word. Until next time - THINK PINK!

Rock Stars, Movie Stars & Glamour Girls

Hey there! Just wanted to send a shout out to all my rock stars, movies stars and glamour girls reading this today! You may be wondering who I am talking about? I am talking to YOU! :)

Let me explain. At my She Speaks conference I attended a workshop led by Shari Braendel called, "What Not To Wear". She told us that if you are 5'8 or taller - you're a rock star - and can wear bigger accessories. 5'5 - 5'7 - you're a movie star - and can wear medium sized accessories. 5'4 & under - you are glamour girls - and should stick to smaller sized accessories. (Accessories include earrings, necklaces & purses...etc.) Can you guess which one I am???

Technically, at 5'7 1/2, I fall into the movie star category but - I am really a 'rock star' wanna be. Since I am border line, I can do both! Wooo Hooo!

We all want to be something other than our true selves sometimes, don't we? I fall into that trap just as much as everyone else. Just for today I encourage you to be happy with who you are. Thank God for how wonderfully He made you. God doesn't make mistakes - there is no flaw in you! So, be yourself...live, love, laugh and dance! Praise God for His wonderful creation. He loves you pimples, wrinkles and all! You are His princess and the King is enthralled with your beauty.

Psalm 139: 13 "You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You're works are wonderful. I know that full well."

Well, Hello Darling! Read any good books lately? How about 'Wait for Me - Rediscovering the Joy of Purity in Romance' by Rebecca St. James. I found this book to be incredibly truthful, packed with the powerful message for purity. To summarize: "God demands reckless obedience to him - both body and soul. In the face of our culture's overwhelming temptations, Rebecca St. James will show you the path to purity, or help you find your way back to it through God's forgiveness and grace."

The next book on my list of must-reads is this: Avoiding Mr. Wrong and what to do if you didn't. It is written by Stephen Arterburn & Dr. Meg Rinck.

So, how can a young person stay pure? By living according to God's Word.
Psalm 119:9

Pure Style is a ministry dedicated to equipping and encouraging teen girls in a lifestyle of modesty and purity. Pure Style teaches girls to find their inner beauty and identity in Christ. Every girl learns to find her value and worth from God's Word.

A quote from a teen girl who was a recent participant in the April Pure Style event said this:
"I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did last night. I really believe that it has change my life forever...You are beautiful, you are kind, and you live your life for Christ the way I wish I could live mine... My favorite thing that we were given was the rose. It was soooooooo pretty! I can't wait until the next Pure Style. Thanks a bunch! it really meant a lot!"
